The Home & Garden Centre
Our Privacy Policy ensures complete privacy. We do not disclose your details to any third party unless it is necessary to fulfil your order, or unless you have ticked the box at registration to give your permission to receive mailings from selected third parties.
Why does The Home & Garden Centre use SECPay? Well, SECPay has its own secure server software that encrypts all your personal information preventing it from being accessed or read by any third party. When registering an account with The Home & Garden Centre you will need to include your credit/debit card details. Once entered, these are encrypted and sent to our secure server where they are held as long as you have an account with us. As they are only sent once when you register or change your details, it means that you spend less time on the net and shop at your convenience. At any time you can modify your account details by logging in to the 'My Account' function located in the in the on screen basket on the right hand side of all main site pages. We only bill your goods when they are available for dispatch, therefore the card details you have registered in 'My Account' at the time of billing will be those used for that transaction.
Remember:
Keep your account details and password a secret. As long as you are logged out at the end of a transaction you will have to use YOUR password to enter the site next time you visit.
Do not send credit/debit card details via standard email as this is not secure, please use the secure server provided.
In the unlikely event of unauthorised card use please be sure to contact your card issuer immediately as per your contractual arrangement with them.
General Information and Internet Browsers:
From time to time a notice may appear on your screen alerting you to the fact that you are moving from a secure server to one which is not secure. Do not be alarmed by this. The secure part is where we take personal or credit card details from you and is covered by our security policy.
Occasionally you will see a message displayed on your browser that indicates that the security certificate is invalid. This is not related to The Home & Garden Centre or any of our sites. This means that the version of the browser you are using is invalid and you will need to update. This can be done by contacting your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or your browser provider (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator).
