The Timber used for hot tubs

Our Wooden Hot Tubs are made of a uniquely heat treated pine; known as Thermowood this differs from the commonly used spruce versions and has the advantage of being super dried making it lighter and giving the wood greater precision when compared to other types of wood that have been used in the past. Common wood (i.e. spruce, pine, larch) will always leak when the wood dries and shrinks by choosing Thermowood Hot Tubs you are extending the life of your tub and making the most of your investment.

In the production process of our heat treated wooden hot tubs, virtually all the humidity is extracted from the wood this reduces the natural tendancy of wood to expand or shrink even during dry weather thus extending your Hot Tubs life.

This process combined with the Hot Tubs unique construction, guarantees little leakage, about 5-10 litres after assembling mainly through knots, and is the reason Thermowood is so well suited for this product.

Heat treated wood is an environmentally friendly material which does not contain any resin. During the production process the resin is removed by high temperatures using steam, no chemicals or additives are being used making the finished product environmentally sound.

Wooden Hot Tub Heaters

The heaters are attached on the outside of the Hot Tub; these systems are very efficient due to their double enclosed construction. The wood burning chamber and chimney are specifically constructed to ensure the maximum efficiently from the heater and because the heater is on the outside there is more space inside the hot tub and the heaters are far easier to maintain.

The connection pipes between the heater and the hot tub contribute to the economical water circulation this gives only a slight temperature difference in the water no matter where you sit.

We also provide a huge range of extensions and upgrades available for you wooden hot tub to enhance you experience so whether you require the basic kit or something to make your hot tub a special garden feature we have something to suit you.

Choose from several Hot Tub heating alternatives

The water can be heated using either a wood-burning or gas heating system. Unlike Hot Tubs made by other companies, our heaters are placed on the outside the tub. This has many advantages: our wooden hot tub is more compact and yet is there is more room for you in it meaning its suitable for smaller gardens. In addition less water is used making the tub more efficient and meaning the water heats up more quickly. Placing the heater outside also enhances the safety of operating you hot tub. Not to mention that assembling your heating system is now much easier.

The heaters are manufactured in Japan, a country where the hot tub tradition has been part of the culture for many years ensuring that our systems once again are the best quality you can find.

Alternatively electrical heating be used.

Wooden Hot Tub Assembly

Our wooden hot tubs are very simple to assemble. All the materials have been pre-fabricated and well prepared beforehand ensuring it's easy for you to assemble your own hot tub without any prior knowledge or special tools.

The construction kit is delivered in seven packages the heaviest weighting 30kg this keeps delivery costs down and ensures easy handling making it easy to build your hot tub wherever you wish.

The tensioning belts supplied are 0,5x50 mm, this is sufficient enough as the heat treated wood will only expand and contract a little due to it's manufacturing process. As opposed to common wood which tends to expand a lot when in contact with heat and water and would require massive tensioning belts and large bolts to hold the hot tub together Thermowood eliminates the need for this making the overall appearance of the hot tub sleeker and more aesthetically pleasing.

HT 150 Polar - Insulated Hot Tubs for year round use!

The Polar Hot Tub is made from Thermowood and has automatic filtration and thermostatically-controlled heater, which includes a control system as a standard feature. A bubble system, insulated cover and wide shelf are also included. The filter, pumps and electric heater are incorporated within the specially insulated steps. As the hot tub’s insulation is so efficient, the energy consumption is considerably less than an un-insulated tub. This model will even work well at temperatures as low as -30°C, or during a power failure! The Hot Tub is adapted from the HT150 Basic model.

“The convection principle”

With the Polar Hot tub, the cold is held at bay, even when it is at its fiercest. Everything is well-insulated, maintaining warmth even during an extended power failure.

Wooden Hot Tub Foundations

Your wooden hot tub can be placed anywhere outdoors, even in densely populated areas. The foundations on which the Tub stands must be stable, and can be built using wither a wooden frame, concrete base or a compacted gravel bed. The hot Tub cannot be placed directly on grass.

Bubble System (119200)

The powerful bubble system also gives you

a relaxing massage. A special pump blows streams of air into the water through 6 (HT150) special air vents. The system also includes all necessary accessories for operation and is suitable for usage with other Hot Tubs on the market, too. If you wish to buy the bubble system for other Hot Tubs the diameter, number of benches and base thickness should be given.

Hot Tub Filtration System 120200P

Our filtration system in combination with a thermostatically controlled electric heater saves on water and heating costs. The water is always maintained at optimum temperature and is kept clean. In order for the water to be filtered effectively water is drawn from both the bottom and the surface of the Tub, and then passes through the filter before being pumped back into the tub. This ensures that all water has passed through the filter.

Hot Tub Filtration System

Control System for the Heater/Pump (BHPTLA)

The electric heater has to be operated with a pump in order function correctly. The control system ensures that the pump starts when the heater is switched on. Filtration intervals are pre-programmed: 2x2 hours per day. Filtration starts automatically hours after the electricity has been switched on. Connections for the underwater lighting and air pump are also in the control system. Electrical connections are made with a 16 amp fuse, and must be earthed.
